Is Facebook the after-life? Oh geez, I hope not. Omar Gallaga wrote a thought piece on how Facebook, a "real-life" network, might be doing what many hope the "after-life" does - bring people from all your walks of life to a common playground.
If Facebook mimics the after-life, then my after-life is going to be filled with "friends" that are really just people I've met in passing. Does the after-life have privacy settings? If I only want to drink beer on my after-life cloud with my college friends, will everybody I've ever be-friended show up??? Uh, oh...better start loading up on beer...
