Additionally, US consumers are ready for mobile marketing - research by mobiSQUARED showed that already 49 million US mobile users have engaged with mobile advertisements - of which 12.3 million have clicked on the mobile ad and purchased an item.
So why Asia? - With almost half of global mobile ad spend coming from Asia, Asia is definitely in the forefront of mobile marketing. With the highest smartphone penetration rates in the world, Asia has been the testing ground for many of the up and coming global mobile marketing trends.Therefore, I thought it would be a great idea to take a look at some of the successful mobile marketing campaigns in Asia and some of the key implications which we can apply to the US market.
